The DVMC expands access to veterinary medicine education to rising leaders facing challenges to attending conferences by offering Educational Grants.

Recipients receive an education grant in the form of free conference registration and paid travel expenses (hotel and airfare). A stipend of $500 will be provided to cover meals and transportation to and from the airport.

With hundreds of CE credit hours to choose from, recipients will find relevant learning in a variety of formats and have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and peers.

What else is part of the experience?

DVMC works to make the Educational Grants an experience that builds the careers and connections of rising leaders. This includes a grant reception honoring the recipients, professional headshots, social media features, and VIP events. Selected individuals will also be given the opportunity to opt in to the DVMC Leaders program after the conference (learn more here).

  • Nia Powell

“As a student, you think that you are the smallest piece of the puzzle here, but seeing all these people come out literally just to be a part of it with us is really nice…having that community really means a lot.”

  • Amanda Mills

"I'm just really excited to meet people who are leaders in our community, make all these relationships, see how you can be a change."

  • Natalia Antonsanti-Santana

“I am the first one in my family to get into veterinary medicine. Having guidance in this field was really hard for me and having this opportunity to interact and network with people has opened so many doors.”

    Natalia Antonsanti-Santana | VMX 2024

  • Tiara Jones

"During undergrad, I would go into my science classes and I wouldn't see anybody that would like me. It didn't motivate me. Now I am surrounded by people who look like me and share the same interests as me at the conference!"
