Learn About Our Scholarship Program

The decision to study veterinary medicine starts with a passion for helping animals, but life obstacles can often inhibit us from doing what we love. Our veterinary scholarship program creates accessible pathways for talented students to obtain veterinary degrees through preparation, internships, and financial aid.

Now Accepting: 2025 Scholarship Applications

If you have a dream of becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, we want to invest in your development and growth through our multi-year college scholarship program.

All scholarship applicants must demonstrate a genuine interest in veterinary medicine and be committed to a career in the field. Five (5) scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship in the fall up to $10,000 for the 2025-2026 academic school year (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

GET TO KNOW OUR PARTNER

We’re partnering with the 1890 Universities Foundation to offer financial assistance to highly qualified students attending one of the 19 historically Black universities designated by the Morrill Land Grant of 1890. Visit the 1890 Universities Foundation website to learn more about the organization and our partnership.

SUPPORTING THE JOURNEY

In addition to financial aid, the DVMC will match veterinary scholarship recipients with a paid summer internship opportunity at one of our member organizations. Each student will be assigned an industry mentor for personalized guidance and direction throughout the experience.

We also offer mentor resources for students who do not receive a college scholarship: visit the Knowledge Center page to learn more.
