Our Why
The American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), with funding provided by the ACVS Foundation, is
partnering with the Diversify Veterinary Medicine Coalition (DVMC) to offer Resident Education Travel
Grants to the 2025 ACVS Surgery Summit in Seattle, WA.
This grant supports both ACVS’s strategic goal of improving residents’ access to continuing
education opportunities and DVMC’s aim to increase representation from historically underrepresented
communities in the veterinary profession, improving access to quality care for more animals and
service to the community.
Join us for the 2025 ACVS Surgery Summit
The ACVS Surgery Summit is the largest gathering of the ACVS community, offering valuable learning and networking opportunities for residents. Five surgery residents (residents (ACVS)) will receive education travel grants for complimentary registration to the 2025 ACVS Surgery Summit, domestic airfare (economy coach ticket), and hotel accommodations. Rideshare costs to and from the airport will be eligible for reimbursement upon submission of receipts after the Summit. Receipts for meals during travel and meals not already provided by ACVS as part of the Summit may also be submitted for reimbursement within the College’s reimbursement limits.
